Little Oil Cans

My apologiesI went over word count by 7… In this case, I think you’ll see why it’s just not a cutable piece. Enjoy, and if you are curious, just hum the tune to “Ten Little Somethings” while you read.  Hehe! I guarantee, the tune will stick in your head all day long…LOL!

Little Oil Cans

Six little oil cans all in a row.

First for the rocking chair,

and now there are five.

Five little oil cans all in a row.

Second for the rocking horse,

and now there are four.

Four little oil cans all in a row.

Third for the tricycle,

and now there are three.

Three little oil cans all in a row.

Fourth for the bicycle,

and now there are two.

Two little oil cans all in a row.

Fifth for the motorcycle,

and now there is one.

One little oil can sits all alone,

ready for the rocking chair

as age takes its toll.
